Shifts Configuration
Shifts are a simple, but powerful feature of the software. Shifts provide the ability to break out labor costs to a level below the pay date.
Shift ID – a unique identifier for this shift.
Sort Order – the order that they should be displayed in for reporting and in selection drop-downs.
Default Shift – if no shift designation is specified, then it is assumed that it is this shift. This is generally the Day shift.
Shift Cut Off Time – when using shift cut off as part of determining punches that belong to a punch group, then punches that pass through this time will be cut off.
Shift Color – the color that this shift is represented by in the scheduler window, shift charts and other places in the software where the shift is shown.
Pay Type 1 through 5 – the pay type to use for calculations can be delegated to the Shifts configuration. This allows a different pay type to be used based upon the shift information being used in the calculation.
Move Hours 1 through 5 – the hours calculated using the pay type can be moved or added (if not checked).
