HandPunch Network Configuration

These are the instructions to enter the network information into the HandPunches with internal network cards. You need the following network information:

  1. IP Address, e.g. 192.168.1.50
  2. Gateway Address, e.g. 192.168.1.1
  3. Subnet Mask or Host Bits, e.g. 255.255.255.0 or 24. Please use the table below to determine the Host Bits if you have the Subnet Mask.

We suggest that you print out this page and then fill in the IP Address, Gateway Address and Host Bits. Please zero fill each number. For example, 192.168.1.50 should be entered as 192.168.001.050

  1. From the main screen (ENTER ID), press Clear then Enter.
  2. If you see ENTER PASSWORD in the display then there are no supervisors currently enrolled in the HandPunch. Skip to the next step, otherwise a supervisor should enter their ID and place their hand.
  3. You should see ENTER PASSWORD in the display.
  4. Press 2 then Enter.
  5. Press No (*) until you see SET SERIAL then press Yes (#).
